ELEVATING

EDUCATIONAL

EXCELLENCE

E3 Project funded by a grant from African American Women Giving and Empowerment Circle (AAWGEC).

The E3 Project is a program designed to support first-year college students holistically through workshops, seminars, and mentoring services. The inaugural participants are the 2026 Pinkies on the Green Scholarship recipients: Aiden Collins, Inari Cooper, Brooke Gillespie, Sacha Reverón, Miklite Tades, and Lonnie Taylor (featured on the home page).

The project provides meaningful mentoring support to scholarship recipients by pairing each student with a mentor in their academic major or intended career field. This relationship is designed to offer guidance, encouragement, and practical support as students navigate the transition into college and work toward successfully completing their first year. In addition to one-on-one mentoring, recipients participate in workshops focused on essential college success skills, including organization, time management, self-advocacy, and recognizing the signs of stress and burnout. Recipients also receive practical items that college students may need, helping to reduce barriers and ensure they feel prepared and supported as they begin their college journey.

Together, these supports help students build confidence, strengthen their sense of belonging, and develop the tools needed to thrive academically and personally during their first year of college.
